11-28-22 : IBEW Local 46: Broadcast Unit update

The KIRO/COX Media Group & IBEW Local 46 proposal for a two (plus) -year Collective Bargaining Agreement was accepted on March 8, 2022.

The agreement includes 2.75% wage increase to for the 2022 plus hubbing language.  I want to thank everyone who voted and participated in the Zoom meetings.

04-08-21 - On Monday, March 1, 2021 members at KIRO ratified a one-year extension that includes a 2% raise to their current rate of pay.

The KOMO/Sinclair & IBEW Local 46 proposal for a three-year Collective Bargaining Agreement was accepted and ratified by the members on February 18, 2022.

Members will receive a one dollar ($1.00) an hour wage adjustment increase, plus 1.5% annual increases each year and a $1000 ratification bonus.

I particularly want to thank Shop Steward Dan Magden for his time and dedication throughout the long negotiation process, which dragged on because of COVID and the Companywide wage freeze.

07-21-21 - KING-TEGNA-IBEW CONTRACT RESULTS

The KING/TEGNA & IBEW Local 46 proposal for a two-year Collective Bargaining Agreement was accepted.

The results are as follows:                  Percent                Votes Cast

Accept:         66.67%                    10

Reject:          33.33%                     5

The Agreement includes a 1.5% wage increase to all steps and furlough language.

I want to thank everyone who voted and participated in the in-person and Zoom meetings.
